My Idol - Anne Francis

When I was a little girl, and even now I still do, I idolised the actress Anne Francis. At an incredibly young age I was familiar with Forbidden Planet and it was my most favourite movie. In fact out of all the films that I favour it wins out as the longest running favourite.
Anne Francis was a cinematic goddess and when I was a little girl I wanted to wear those cute little numbers that she wore in Forbidden Planet. I probably would have given my favourite Barbie to look like her. I must admit even now I still want to dress up as she did for this film.

Anne Francis Stars

One of the earliest films that I remember watching in the first several years of my life was Forbidden Planet. Anne Francis starred as Altaira in this film. I am led to believe that it was the first sci-fi flick to be given both a big budget and to filmed in colour. Forbidden Planet remains to this day one of my all time favorite movies.

Over the years Anne has appeared in a multitude of movies and television programs. From 1965 to 1966 she starred in a telly series titled Honey West, as a private investigator... with a whole lotta James Bond.

More recently Anne has been battling with lung cancer (2007-2008) and is now going through a recovery stage. Best wishes Anne!
