Nothing's Gonna Stop This Doll

As I progress on my latest pose-able fashion doll I am almost a little amazed when I see it coming together. Usually when I am at the stage of creating the armature there is always a moment of 'I don't know about this'. The truth is anything can happen during the doll making process. And it is only when that final stitch is tied and cut that a doll maker can rest.
The next stage for this doll will be wig making and designing the costume. Stay tuned…
Since I'm bringing a doll to life it is only appropriate that I share this eighties music video by Starship [awesome]. Mucho love for Kim Cattrall and Andrew McCarthy from the film Mannequin.

Taylor Swift = ♥
There's a lot of love for Taylor Swift from the people in this household. And the cat probably doesn't mind her music. And now for one of my favourite TS music videos…
(FYI, this is what it looks like inside my head)

Fab Finds 6
It wasn't an intentional thing, but it just occurred to me that today's Fab Finds have a retro vibe. Well, let's roll with it...
We have here something for the lomography enthusiasts. Can you imagine how people were manipulating photos before we had Photoshop. Well, you can check it out here in this 90's video on polaroid manipulation. Fun stuff! I'd like to give this a go if I still had a polaroid camera.
And for a laugh, here's something that Anne Hathaway and Jimmy Fallon did a while back. It is old and still a hoot.
One of my favourite makeup artisans - Doe Deere has collaborated with her friends to make a Jem + the Holograms music video audition. Their makeup and costumes are amazing and outrageous [in a very, very good way]. It makes for a nice 80s cartoon tribute. Fantastic effort ladies [Shana is my favourite in this]!

Roar
There is a lot of love for Katy Perry in this house. She is someone we would definitely have over for dinner [pizza and hotdogs] and party with. It'll be seven o'clock in the morning and my youngest [2 year old] is asking for Katy Perry. So out I whip The Movie: Part of Me when most kids are watching Bananas in Pyjamas.
We are loving this one from Katy's latest album [Prism]. Ladies, let's hear your roar.

Have to Believe
Here's a little bit of Olivia Newton John to start your weekend. Hey! Anyone else remember the skate film Xanadu?

Imagination
This music video just says it all about imagination. Don't you think? Or perhaps I should say 'imagine'.

Coin Laundry
This is just so sweet - a Lisa Mitchell music video called Coin Laundry. I just wanted the boy to see the girl...

An 80s Treasure
I am mad on the 80s. Those were my childhood years. And Hall and Oates music was a highlight of that period in my life. I especially like this song of theirs...

Oh Yeah!
I think Ferris Bueller's Day Offis super duper. And I super like this song. Have an 'oh yeah' kind of day.

Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet
Oh yes! Love, love, love this. So witchy and deep. Lisa Marie definitely got a little something from her talented dad...
