Georgina Haynes Talks Puppets

    Years ago I was blown away by the magnificent big little details that went into making Coraline. But let's face it I've always had a soft spot for stop motion animation having grown up on Wind in the Willows and Gumbie. Of course stop motion animation isn't a thing of the past and continues to hold its own in a time of CGI.

    Here I found a fascinating interview with Georgina Haynes a puppet maker from LAIKA. My goodness, how I would love to work with this company.

Spotlight on Sarah Strachan

    I cannot quite remember how it was that I came across Sarah Strachan. Did someone send me a link to her? Or did I stumble onto her work on Pinterest? However it happened I have begun to regularly drop in for a look see at her website to see what new wonderfuls she is creating.
    Oh and incase you are wondering, Sarah Strachan is a puppet maker, she has worked at Jim Henson's Creature Shop [wow, wow and wow again], and she makes some of the sweetest dolls around.
