Seriously, what is beauty? Is it how we feel about ourselves? Or is it a projection of other people's contradicting expectations? Whose opinion really counts - yours or the social collective?
Beauty blogger, Em Ford, puts herself out there make up free, and make up on. For just a moment put aside your perception of people with acne, and people who wear make up, and watch this short video.
It is said that thoughts can't hurt, only actions. But that message was phrased long before we had social media. Now thoughts can hurt. And they do hurt. Remember that inbuilt filter between brain and mouth, which stops us from saying hurtful things out loud. Perhaps it is time to hotwire that filter between brain and keypad. Just a thought…

Ladies Illustrate It
Here is a lovely little video from Nivea. I love it becaue of the focus on a group of illustrators working together and separately on their art pieces. Who wouldn't want to work in an environment like this? I love all the different works that appear in this video, and of course, one of my favourite artists, Marguerite Sauvage, does appear in this.

Lovin' the 60s
We should all dance when getting dressed for the day.
I am lovin' the 60s more and more - the clothes, the music, the make-up. Yeah baby!

Fantastical Photography
I love being able to see into artist's studios and even watching them at work. Here is a wonderful behind the scenes video for a fantasy photoshoot from one of my favourite artists - Doe Deere. This is wonderful inspiration. Love it, love it, love it!!!

Melissa Haslam
Melissa Haslam is one of my favourite artists whom I first came across via her blog — Cherry Fields.
One of the nicer sides to the internet is the opportunity it provides in seeing into the work studios of our favourite artists. And a few months ago Melissa’s sister, Suzie Haslam, made a sweet little feature video [as shown below]. I have no doubt you will enjoy viewing it as much as I did.
