Radio Silence

My world has been quite busy of late, and I have not had the time to spend here at blogging land. So one of two things can happen — I can fret about it and do a half-arse job trying to write up entries. Or, I can declare radio silence and just take a lil‘ time out from my blogging.

I think the second option is much more preferable. Don‘t you?

I'll catch with you all again sometime in Autumn.

Archive Sunday

It feels kind of weird not having blogged for a while. And it feels even stranger getting back into the swing of it. Admittedly my blog reading and writing has been quite limited since returning to work. After, work, and getting in quality time with the family it doesn't leave room for much else. Regardless, I was determined to not skimp on my Sunday Archive project. So here is my contribution for this week…

Back in 1988 I spent the Summer holidays at my Grandparent's home for a couple of weeks. During the stay, Grandma wrote a journal of my day to day activities. I am really quite appreciative that she did this for me. It is a wonderful piece of retrospective to have. This little journal helps me to remember.

To join in with Archive Sunday, simply leave a link in Comments — relating to something from your past history, whether it be a photo, art or an old journal entry, and tell us a little something about this piece of archive.

The Closest Thing To Heaven

I was surprised this morning by this Tears for Fears music video. My hub is a fan of this band so he started watching this video. I joined Michael while he watched the video and I had a holy crow moment — I realised it was Brittany Murphy with that quirky smile gazing straight back at the camera.

My First 2010

I have spent the past week or so taking it easy. Mostly reading, watching Enterprise, playing with the bub, quality conversation time with the hub, and pondering potential art projects for 2010. Can you believe it is really 2010? Where has the time gone?

Yesterday I began work on a paper doll titled Lil Red. I have some special ideas for this paper doll. I want to incorporate real life textures, such as knit and crochet patterns into the clothes to give it that realistic/crafty look. So we'll see how we go…
