    Early morning doodle: My youngest often asks me to draw things for her. It's been good for me - because I've learnt to draw quickly on the fly and not worry about being perfect.

Energised Fashion

    The past couple of days my brain has switched on and I have had an upswing of creative ideas pouring out of my head. Including some crazy beautiful candy coloured fashion ideas.

    I've got that energised bubbly feeling tonight. Like I could do anything. Got to bottle that feeling. I think it started with some pom-pom making.

Fashion Bits

    The past few years I have come to have an appreciation for stuff that is crocheted. I've even tried my hand at it and made a few things. This morning I was in a doodling mood and I came up with this dress idea. Totally made of crochet flowers. Even the boots are covered in crochet.

Pen and Red Nail Polish

    I did some late night doodling. I pulled out a fashion mag and chose a couple of photos to draw from. I didn't worry about perfection or getting the proportions just right [that would have meant starting with a pencil and eraser]. I just went straight in with a black pen. And on the girl in the middle I added some colour using nail polish [I was too tired to pull out my water colours at the time]. Sometimes you have more fun when you are not trying to be perfect.

A Lil Doll Making

    This afternoon, my eldest wanted to do some drawing, and she invited me to draw with her. So I did a silly little sketch of a female in swimming clothes.

    I thought the sketch would make a funny plush doll. So I drew up rough pattern pieces based on the illustration and I have begun sewing the doll. My aim is to only use materials that are already in my craft supply. I have already selected some buttons and have made the legs out of an old baby bib.

    Watch this space and we'll see if I can get this doll finished by the end of the week, hey.

Less Summer More Autumn

    I am so over Summer. Puh-lease bring on the Autumn. I am one of the rare few that cannot bare the hot weather. I used be able to, when I was a kid. But these days I dream of Canadian sea changes. Of course anyone who follows my rants is quite familiar with my dream of breathing Canadian air.
