Dreams of a Summer Repose
Are you feeling the sharp bite of Autumn? Are you dreaming of warm summer days? When it is hot we wish for cooler days. And when it is finally cold all we want is for the sun to be closer. We just can't be satisfied.

Tabouli and Falafel Forever
These days I prefer the cold weather to the heat. On seriously hot days I fantasise about moving to a place like Canada.
One good thing about the warm weather is that it has a calming affect on my appetite - meaning I am not as inclined to eat a lot of hot food.
At the moment I am enjoying the flavours of tabouli and falafel patties. Oh my gosh! I could live on this food every day. I can hardly believe how something so tasty can be so incredibly healthy. Tabouli and falafel forever!

A Summer Bouquet
As summer days go today isn't too bad. We are sitting at a comfortable temperature [a maximum 24° celcius], much thanks to the post storm breeze.
And I am just loving the flowers in my garden.

Lady Bird Fan
I have a sure way of beating the heat on those super warm days [I say 'super warm' and not 'hot', because when it is truly hot the only thing for it is an air conditioned plaza, cinema or a dunk in the ocean.]. It is a do it yourself lady bird fan. This activity is great for the kids and for you. Simply follow this tutorial...
1. Take two A4 pages: one red and one black.
2. Fold the black piece down 3 times.
3. Draw a circle onto the folded black piece, using a white pencil.
4. Cut into the paper around the drawn circle. You will have multiple circles from one cutting.
5. Gluedown the circles onto the red piece of paper.
6. Fold the red paper in a zig zag pattern, making the folded width roughly 15 mm. Do this for the entire piece of paper.
7. Sticky tape shut one end of the folded red paper. Opened out the open side and... Voila! You have yourself a paper crafted lady bird fan.

Something For My Arms
I am thinking of designing something that can provide protection to my arms and hands for when doing things like driving in my car. It is summer time and there is only so much protection sunscreen can offer my sensitive skin. So I need a mini jacket that can be worn with anything (even with office attire).
