Large Lego World

    The world just got a little larger. Lego world that is. The girls are really getting into the Lego. It is pulled out every single day. And the more the Lego comes out, the creations become much more advanced, because really, I cannot help myself and the girls love me making stuff for them. The other day I built a natural landscape for the girls complete with river, grass, trees, sand, and piers. I almost ran out of yellow and blue Lego.

My Tribute

... No! Not a reference to The Hunger Games, but this photo is certainly a tribute to the crazy cool weather that is Victoria in Spring. Should it rain or should it shine? Or should it do a bit of both?

Practicing For Spring

    Officially it is still the cold season, but I can tell the winter is practicing, getting into shape for when Spring time clocks over. Flowers are popping up here and there. The sunlight is breaking through the chillings winds. I used to be an Autumn person. I'm a bit over feeling cold this year. So now I'm all about the warm weather.

Holey Light

    I love the leaf eaten tree that resides down near the entrance of the driveway. Especially how the light filters through the holes, like an intergalactic space party.

Capturing Beauty

    When you are landlocked at home it is nice being able to find natural beauty in ones own backyard. Even if it is just the little things. Such as a neighbour's jasmine growing through the fence, an aging cobweb decorated plant, sunlight filtering through the leaves and branches of a dense tree, or my font development using dry, fallen leaves.
    I have been having fun playing with my camera manual settings. Some of my favourite settings are monochrome and tungsten lighting. There is a classiness when shooting in black and white. And of course, I like tungsten lighting for it's 'unreal' colour quality - strange and wonderful things happen to my photos.

Dream of Trees

As the days plough towards hot summer days I find myself daydreaming about the trees in Canada.

More Tree Prints

Here are some more tree prints that I think would look fantastic on fabric. I am imagining these prints on hankies and patchwork fabrics, on cloth notebook covers and even bags.

Pink Print

Originally I had intended that this print have a blue and green colour scheme. However it evolved into something else and became very... girlish.
